Let's Run Away

We met with Jackie and Doug back in March to finalize some wedding day details. On that day, their wedding was set to happen exactly two months later. Of course, we had no idea what 2020 had in store for any of us and that ended up being our last in person meeting before quarantine. Actually, that’s still our last in person meeting!

Due to the restrictions of Covid-19, they had to postpone their wedding, and rescheduled to a Thursday in July. Funny enough, we got married on a Thursday too, back in 2014, so IMO Thursdays are perfect for weddings! (Four day weekend anyone?!)

The day of, everything turned out beautiful, and Jackie and Doug wound up having the best weather of July. Seriously, check out their same day edit!

The Calendar Was Cleared

We’ve always been a fan of smaller backyard weddings. They’re personal and intimate and full of all the feels, not to mention comfortable. What’s more comfortable than celebrating in your own backyard?!

The same space you host barbecues and birthday parties. Where you teach your kids how to catch a ball or ride a bike. A space already commemorated with so much heart-bursting love and gut-busting laughter that adding another joyous memory to the mix feels exactly right.

Covid aside, backyard weddings are where it’s at!!

One Big Fun Exciting Adventure

A ceremony on the rooftop of the Four Seasons? Ummm, yes please!

Danielle and Nick got married on the terrace, over looking the city of St. Louis with the Gateway Arch as their backdrop. It was seriously the coolest!

We regularly recommend the Four Seasons as a getting ready location for our St. Louis couples. The rooms have plenty of space, light, and really unique views of the city.

Danielle and Nick also hosted their reception at the Four Seasons. All inclusive location for the win! Bonus points for elegant wedding decor.

As we’ve been proven many times before, it pays to know people! Danielle and Nick had a friend guest DJ at their reception…and it was epic!
