We'll See You There

Dear readers, We have been trying to come up with a way to incorporate all of our past and upcoming couples into our big day. After all, if it weren't for all of you we wouldn't have such great wedding ideas!

So, without further ado, here is our plan!

Something like this!

I saw this on Pinterest the other day (Yeah, even we Pinterest!) and asked Jimmy what he thought about this idea for our wedding. He said he liked it.

"Awesome! That's great!" I thought.

Then I went into the studio, I don't remember what for now, but I came across these....

The seating cards I found.

I walked out of the studio, and said, "Jimmy, what if we used the seating cards from our couples weddings?"

I explained my idea of combining the seating cards we get from our couples along with the idea of pictures of us on the clothes lines. Then in the center I will put our names, Jimmy + Stephanie Wilderman (Ahhh! I can't wait to change my last name! :)), signifying our marriage.

He immediately loved it!

So, as a thank you to all of our wonderful couples, we will be using (literally!) a little part of your big day, as a little part of our own. We are so happy to have found a creative and unique way to include all of you!

Thank you, each and everyone of you, for being so amazing! And I promise I will post pictures when it is finished!

Much love,

Along The Way

Dear readers, another week has come and gone! Not much has happened this since my last post. In fact, I think the only wedding related thing we did this week was start our "wedding diet" haha!

Honestly, it's not much of a diet. I'm thinking of it more as a lifestyle change! We're trying to eat a little healthier and stay active. We're cutting out fast food (we'll see how that goes!) and Bokeh is loving her extra walk a day :). I did try running with her but that didn't go so well! Haha! She more or less drug me along and we wound up in a ditch! Therefore, running will be a human-only exercise!

I have discovered some great new recipes. Greek yogurt blueberry pancakes! Yum! Instead of the Gold Medal® All-Purpose Flour I used King Arthur Flour, unbleached whole wheat, in an attempt to be a tad bit healthier. I also used 2 egg whites as a substitute for 1 large egg.

Greek yogurt blueberry pancake ingredients.

I found this recipe on greatist.com, among other yummy Greek yogurt recipes. I can't wait to try the Skinny Greek Yogurt Chicken! It looks absolutely fabulous!

Well that's all for this week. I will be sure to share any new recipes I find along the way! Wish us luck on the no fast food thing haha! I think we're going to need it! :)

Wanderlust

A print I'm working on for our apt! Good afternoon! I hope all is well with my lovely readers!

So this week I have been working on my bouquet. As you know, we have decided to travel theme our wedding! I haven't exactly figured out how to make travel a prominent theme yet but I have discovered how to make paper map flowers!

Since our wedding will be taking place in a fairly primitive area, I decided that real flowers would be a risk. I definitely don't want a wilted bouquet on our wedding day, so I am trying something a little out of the ordinary.

I know it's a little early to be working on the bouquets but someone *cough* (JIMMY) said I should do it now just in case I couldn't actually do it myself. He thought I would end up buying the bouquets instead, but I don't think I will need to! :)

I found this paper flower tutorial on YouTube and followed the instructions to make my map flowers. I'm not going to lie, it took a while to get the hang of using a glue-gun haha! Also, if you decide to do this, purchase a flower punch! I didn't buy one because I thought, "How hard could it be to cut out flowers?". Turns out it's pretty time consuming. I fully intend to buy one now!

What I used to make the flowers.

First I cut the small doll-rods into 2in sections. I attached the flowers to the sections by cutting an X into the center of the petals, then sliding them onto the rods. I glued them on before forming the flower itself. That part isn't as complicated as it sounds! After all of the flowers were finished, I dyed the tips and glued them into the foam ball. The end!

Here is a picture of my "finished" bouquet. I quote finished because I will probably alter it some before the wedding. I am definitely a perfectionist when it comes to my creations haha!

My "finished" bouquet.

Now I just have to find a safe place to store it!

A little off topic here, but apparently I am a planner after all! Recently I have found my nightly netflix time filled with list making! I have tons of lists: things I want to buy for the wedding, wedding dresses I like, reception decor, reception dresses, clothes I want to wear the days before the wedding (I have NO IDEA why that's a list!!), and shower decorations! In addition, I may or may not have downloaded a wedding planning app! AHHH! I may be going wedding crazy! ;)

Another side note; since neither of us are big cake eaters, we have decided to have smore's and pumpkin-pie bars instead! :)

If anyone has any cool travel-themed wedding ideas, I'm all ears! Thank you all for reading and enjoy the rest of your evening!
