The Tough Stuff

To quote Mark Twain, “In the spring, I have counted 136 different kinds of weather inside of 24 hours.”

While I’m convinced he must have been referring to a midwestern spring day, Melissa and Brandon’s wedding day was mainly one: rain! 😂

That brings me to another famous belief; rain on your wedding day is good luck, and I see a very lucky future for these two!

Even with the rain (which really did make for an extraordinary day and I’m sure will be a story for a lifetime!), Melissa and Brandon’s wedding day was wonderful! Both their ceremony and reception were held at Copper Dock Winery, located in rural Pocahontas, Illinois.

If you haven’t been there yet, we recommend visiting. You might even get a glimpse of the swans!

Melissa and Brandon continued with their plan to hold the ceremony outdoors and it turned out awesome 💕. The rain let up just in time for outdoor photos!

Congrats to Melissa and Brandon! We’re so happy to have been a part of your wedding day and are certain the rain will bring more smiles, laughs, and happy tears in all of your years to come! ☺️
